What a charming shop! Always a fan of pottery and glass works, I was immediately drawn when I saw the displays in the window! Beware!, once you go in you'll find yourself seeing this! then that!, then all! So many lovely pieces! It was difficult to whittle down my choices. Fortunately the wonderful person helping me said the magic words: "we ship"! Since we were continuing our wandering adventure for a few more days, that was great news. Less than a week after returning home, my treasures arrived, completely unscathed by their 2000 mile journey! I've decided I need another piece or two, so tomorrow I'm ordering from the website. Seriously though, while there are many shops along the harbor, please take the time to go the extra blocks from the cruise ship docks and shop local! The treasures you'll find are vast and wonderful!, and your tourist dollars stay in the towns. Shops like this are tremendously valuable to the communities and to the artists they support. I truly found some amazingly beautiful and unique pieces that I wouldn't find anywhere else! One of the few local shops downtown that is open year-round. This store has the best selection of local art around. The staff is very friendly, and the owner prides herself on selecting American made products whenever possible to feature in her store. Tourists, avoid the chintzy Made in China crap, and get some real Alaskan handmade goods here. Locals know what's up, and now you do too.
