Although the pictures look great, we found a disappointing assortment of goods. Pastries sampled were overly sweet and fairly low quality. In addition, this place is TAKE OUT ONLY. Convenient location inside the Canvas Art Studio & Gallery. Friendly owner stated that she will bake goods upon request if you place a special order ahead of time, which is great for those entertaining on special occasions, but not so good for passersby. Came one day before a good friend's birthday with a request for a cake that involved ginger and chocolate. Pie in the Sky delivered! The cake looked a bit messy but was absolutely delicious. She did add a coffee flavor that was not requested but turned out wonderfully. Just be sure to be explicit that you don't want her to get too creative/deviate from your request if you're picky. But you can trust the flavors from here because—while sometimes quite unique—they are consistently good. Little pricey, but quality baking is a pricey endeavor. I found the customer service to be poor. I had ordered a cake for my son's birthday and on the day of pick-up I went to the store and found no one to be there. I called both the owner's store number and cell number, leaving multiple messages, and after waiting 40 minutes my son and I left with no cake. It's been about a week and I have yet to hear back from the owner. I do not plan to order from this store in the future and would not recommend ordering from here for an event. My son left pretty disappointed that he did not have a cake for his birthday. Terrible. There is NO pie. False advertising. Proprietress was rude & dismissive. Save the trouble & go to the Rookery down the street! This place is a must if in town. The owner is fantastic and all of the items are made from scratch. There are only a few options offered daily as this is a one women operation and she cares about what she does. The coffee is good and the pastries are top notch. Can't say enough good things about this little place She does take CC!
