The most unprofessional, unethical front office staff I have ever encountered. As a healthcare provider myself, I understand some days it just seems nothing can go right, however, not only were the front staff unorganized, they blatantly made excuse after excuse and lie after lie about incorrect insurance billing, canceled my appointment TWICE, once after misleading me regarding sedation not being available, only to call back after I cancelled my escort and transportation, but again cancelled after I reported I would be approximately 15 minutes late, after I had been instructed to take 20 milligrams of Valium. All these excuses and unprofessional behavior were only followed up with a phone call from the Dentist after I requested. Not to mention my personal Health Information was discussed and announced in an open patient care area. Mind you, Dr Smith is caring and professional, unfortunately his staff has earned him a horrible review and I can not, in good faith, recommend this facility. Alaska Dental Arts is great. Dr. Smith adeptly repaired my veneers when they came off while I was on vacation over the holidays. I was able to schedule right away for my emergency service and am extremely grateful for the help. (These were veneers done somewhere else, but now at least I know that they are stuck on for awhile!) I feel lucky to have such great dentists. What a super experience to have people so Professional in there jobs, with the state of the art equipment. I suffer from Anxiety and they where able to keep me clam and where so gentle. If there where 10 stars I truly feel Dental Arts would receive them. I had to have a couple of teeth pulled and I was really really nervous, it was an emergency type situation. The dentist was so sympathetic and very very patient with me. He really put my feelings first and treated me with the utmost respect! Thank you JDA for restoring my faith in dentists! Some of the nicest people on this planet work here! I flew out to Juneau and last minute was hoping to get work done. They got me an appointment the next day and finished all the work I needed and MORE! They were so wonderful to me and the work Dr. Ebel did was absolutely beautiful. Truly an amazing dentist. His staff is super sweet and makes you feel so comfortable. HIGHLY recommend!!
