When a painful eye infection caused my autistic daughter to need an emergency appointment, staff helped squeeze us in on a busy Friday afternoon. Dr Breffeilh was knowledgeable and professional, but it was his kindness and patience with my daughter that impressed me the most. I would recommend Tongass to anyone and everyone. Doctor Breffeilh and his staff are professional, knowledgeable and kind. Doctor Breffeilh explained what was occurring and showed me the test results and discussed options. I knew I was in good hands with this guy! The doctors I have seen here are very professional and the staff kind and considerate. They have helped me take care of my sight and preserved my vision in my troubled eye. I am very grateful. Arrogant and rude doctor. Unprofessional staff. I arrived a few mins late to my appointment (my bad, but patients are occasionally late) and was chastised in the waiting room by the doctor and staff. I took my paperwork back and promptly left my appointment. For the rates they charge I'd expect better. I sincerely want to give Dr. Robert Breffeilh and his clinic and staff the very highest marks. In Southeast Alaska, our resources are often limited, and Dr. Breffeilh understands and respects the importance of our needs. I live in rural Southeast, and suddenly experienced a growing loss of vision. Calling into the clinic to describe my symptoms, they got back to me in short order with the Doctor's recommendation that I travel into town the next day, and he would make room for me despite a full schedule and upcoming vacation. As it turned out, I was experiencing a superior retinal detachment. Dr. Breffeilh and his staff helped me to make the arrangements to get to a surgical center in Anchorage that day for a full surgery. Dr. Breffeilh and his staff were caring and comforting to this very anxious patient, and I am in their debt for the professionalism, care, and sensitivity they offered to me. Without their care and support I am sure I would have lost the sight in my right eye. Now, I am on the road to a full recovery. Full marks for this important clinic.
