They showed up on time, worked hard, got it done politely and cheerfully without damaging anything. No complaints whatsoever. Awful...lies by the rep. ...so much broken ..scratched and crushed. Went to file a claim and was jacked around by the office staff and owner...total avoidance on their part. They are far from reliable...very upsetting...so much damage to what was new furniture until they got their hands on it!... They can delete my comment all they want, just goes to show you that they can't handle the truth and truly how pathetic this business is. Reliable Transfer HA! They should probably rename to Unreliable Transfer! This has been the worst service we have ever recieved from anything. Nothing but liars. After six weeks of not receiving our things they are having the receptionist screen calls. The owner and manager refuse to talk to us. We were never told we went over the budget and now the are saying we owe them 1400. I'll be damned if they get a dime of my hard earned money. I am out 1500 because of irreplaceable living beings I had to let go. After 4 weeks of boarding I had to let them go because I racked up 500 in boarding fees. Letting go of them was horrible. The were worth around 1000. And you know I racked up all these fees and pretty much threw away 1000 because I had to let them go and what do I have to show for it? Absolutely nothing! So then I'm told if we pay the 1400 we can file a claim that will probably be denied. This is not acceptable. I had to buy work clothes because only so many were packed. I was told 5 to 8 days for my car. Well 5 weeks later it finally came! Now if I don't recieve any resolve I will have to get a lawyer over all this. I hate to make bad situations worse but this is my breaking point. I suggest no one uses their services. It would be less of a hassle and quicker for you to ship your things yourself. And by the way we only moved from Juneau to Anchorage. It's been a week and a half since our things have been here i refuse to pay 1400 for their bull crap screw up! They are now screening our calls and refuse to release our things. They don't answer phone calls. It has been 2 months since our things were taken into their possession and it's been here for a week. I believe that they have done this to several other people and they ended up giving the company what they wanted, unfortunately that will not be the same with us. Do not waste your money. Our move with Reliable Transfer July of 2007 was an awful experience. First we were under-quoted by $4,000.00 and not told until the day we caught the ferry to leave on our move. While driving through Canada we received a call that all of our items would not fit in one crate and would need 2, which would cost us even more or we could leave behind all of our furniture. Running out of funds we chose to leave behind furniture. We were also told we had to have someone come and pick up the furniture off their floor and for every hour it was on their floor taking up room it would cost us $60.00 an hour. Thank goodness for friends. Finally a few boxes would not fit in the crate and would have to be mailed. We never received any boxes and when I called to follow up either no one knew what I was talking about or would return my calls. A month later when the crate arrived, the company in FL asked my husband to come down and look at the crate before they started moving anything. It was a disaster! Things had been removed from boxes and shoved in nooks and crannies. When the door was opened our belongings had spilled out in the parking lot. The furniture can be replaced. What can't were the items I'm guessing were supposed to be shipped. Unimportant to Reliable Transfer but priceless to us. Among them were dolls sewn for me and my daughter by my mother and baby blankets. Pictures, a sewing machine (they managed to send the foot pedal, attachments and books though), and 4 years of our children's school projects we were saving. All in all, a horrible experience. I can't believe they are still in business.
