Every RX I've filled there the past 2 summers has been delayed or screwed up in some way on behalf of the techs. They still can't correct the spelling of my name, mis entered my cc info, took 4 times and showing up in person to get corrected. Seemingly when I talk to one of the actual pharmacists, that's when things finally resolve. I live in a bush community, and they never deliver it to the airline when promised. Bush orders only go out 3 days a week, so when they miss the drop Monday, you have to wait til late Wednesday for it to arrive. When in pain and suffering an infection, quick and accurate delivery is clearly a necessity. Clearly, Fred Meyer pharmacy doesn't give a flying Rat about service, or patients suffering. The people are rude and judgmental. If you're being prescribed any type of narcotic you're treated like a drug addict and spoken down to like a child. They've put me and my family in situations I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. And the most screwed up thing? The local hospital will not fill any prescriptions if there is a pharmacy open locally. So if it's say 8:30 on a Saturday night, you'll be screwed until the next day because Fred Meyer staff will NOT ACCOMMODATE YOU. I don't know what it is with Fred Meyer Pharmacy's. Even down south they are terrible. Constantly getting prescriptions wrong, losing prescriptions, giving the wrong dose, not having prescriptions ready that were called in. This seems to be par for the course for Fred Meyer Pharmacies. They must grab the lowest on the totem pole to save money. Here in Juneau, though, they are not just inept, they are downright RUDE. Last week, I went in TWICE to get a prescription filled. The first time, they were unable to fill it. They said the doctor declined the prescription. THEY SENT IT TO THE WRONG DOCTOR! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Talk about a violation of privacy. The second time, I went in, confirmed with the doctor that morning that the prescriptions were accepted and sent to Fred Meyer. I show up, Only ONE is ready. The second one... "We never got it." So, I have two prescriptions that go together and they didn't get the second one? MAYBE I'd buy that it was an honest mistake, except at the same time I was getting mine, I heard the pharmacist and a customer in the drive thru having the SAME conversation. Yep. Lost there's too. It was my fault though, apparently. Frustrated I accused them of losing my prescription. Pharmacist replied. "Really? I lost it? Where would I put it? Maybe next time BRING IT IN so you can verify that we don’t lose things." Forget the fact that they had lost another customers prescription that day. Now, in order to have it filled correctly I have to bring it in and WAIT for it to be filled? You have to be kidding me. I told him that Fred Meyer always seemed to lose my prescriptions or get them wrong. I was frustrated and I will admit I was rude. But, here’s the thing, I AM THE CUSTOMER. After a few moments, I tried to apologize for my attitude, but he wasn't having it. "You accuse me of losing your prescription and now you want to apologize?" Sorry, bub. It's not like it's YOUR JOB or anything to fill prescriptions. I don't expect great customer service in Juneau, but I won't tolerate rudeness. To his credit, he did give me another emergency dose, which he did not have to do. But his attitude and his refusal to accept my apology or apologize for his tone with me is unacceptable. We are taking our prescriptions to IGA. Hopefully the guys there can count pills right and perform the one job we pay them to do. And maybe not be royal D-bags in the process. Although they don't perform miracles, the staff at Fred Meyer Pharmacy in J-town are pretty legit. Very easygoing about prescription refills, consistent professionalism every visit, and multiple pharmacists present translate to short wait times. A+ I got there five minutes before they were SUPPOSED to close and they WOULD NOT SERVE ME. An emergency came up and I needed my prescription but because they wanted to close early. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
