Lovely trail originally built by Forester Dan Moller in the 1930s. Has planks over muskeg most of the way to the Dan Moller Cabin, so it can be slippery when wet. Affords beautiful views throughout, lots of berries and wildflowers in the summer, and cross country skiing and snowmobiles in the winter. Wildlife watching opportunities abound. Scenic views of Stephens Passage and Admiralty Island if followed past the Dan Moller Cabin to the ridge around the bowl. Such a beautiful trail. Breathtaking views and berrypicking. Bring a friend to keep you company. Great trail! Can be used to get to the cabin about 3 miles up the trail or used to access Treadwell Ditch after about 1 mile. Nice parking lot for overnight parking too.
