Campers must reserve sites in advance by going online. It costs $10 per site per night plus a $10 "reservation fee". Campers can not pick a site, and pay with a fee envelope on site as is the practice at all other US Forest Service campgrounds. When the phone number provided to make a reservation is called a message says, "This number is no longer in service". The campground is beautiful but little used as this reservation system is not available to all users unless they have access to a computer and internet. A very nice campground, large sites, clean. But no hot water in the showers in the tent sites (why bother to have showers?) and at about 5:30 each evening the shooting range near here fires up and one gets to listen for couple of hours. We had already paid online, so we'd be losing money to move. Really nice camp sites. I was in the"backpacker loop" which has some nice secluded spots. Great place for cross country skiing! Nice spot close to the lake.
