Dr. Chan and staff, I cannot thank you enough for taking such good care of son. My Son received orthodontic treatment by Chan Orthodontist and his teeth are beautiful! Dr. Chan always treated my son with gentle care and very well thought out treatment. Every step is done in the best interest of the patient. I highly recommend parents, young adults and older adults to see Dr. Chan. During the process of searching for an orthodontist, we visited several to get their recommendations on how to proceed with my daughter's need for braces. Right from the beginning, Dr. Chan and his staff, were warm, friendly and accommodating. Dr. Chan explained his philosophy for treatment in terms that were easy for us to understand, follow, and most importantly, it was a philosophy we agreed with for treating our daughter as an individual according to her specific needs for orthodontia. So many places are a "one size fits all" and perform the exact same procedure on all of their patients. We visited an orthodontist who wanted to yank out permanent teeth, put braces on her as an 8 year old with the possibility of having to take them of and replace them at a later date. I appreciate Dr. Chan's desire to have the process be as simple as possible while getting only the very best result. And he absolutely achieved that. The fact that Dr. Chan and his staff were so kind and obviously really cared for my daughter was the incentive she needed to do exactly as she was instructed from a care and maintenance standpoint. The hard work of both Dr. Chan, his staff and my daughter, because she was so motivated, resulted in a beautiful smile in 22 months! We had a not-so-pleasant experience with a previous orthodontist here in Juneau years ago. When we heard about Dr. Chan, I was skeptical. What we found was an honest, professional family orthodontist who genuinely cares about his patients. His fees are fair and straightforward. There are no hidden fees. Payment options are provided and affordable. Dr. Chan is great with both patients and parents. He's enthusiastic about his work and he's funny! His staff is always smiling and seem happy working with him, that's an awesome sign. His assistants go out of their way to ensure instructions are clearly understood ~ especially that your dog will eat your retainers! And when the dog did eat the retainers, Brooke was able to make a replacement right away. Thank you! What an awesome doctor. He's taking care of my children! We are definitely lucky that he comes to Juneau for us! Highly recommend Dr. Chan! Our experience with Dr. Chan has been wonderful. From the first appointment, we felt comfortable and confident that he was our choice for our orthodontist. He is professional in a very personable way. He always takes the time to ask about school and any activities he knows our son is involved in. He is very patient but expresses concerns about homecare if they arise. We feel so fortunate that he comes up here for the residents of Juneau. Our son is now out of braces and his teeth look great. The follow up care has been fantastic and he is actually sad that he won't be seeing Dr. Chan as often! All the staff that have helped us have been excellent and we look forward to a continued relationship now that our second son has just had his braces put on.
