I'm not sure why the prior reviewer had such a tough time with First American Title in Juneau. I would like to convey my personal experience from several different transactions. Each transfer of property went smoothly with the utmost professionalism. Colleen Sullivan is a true pleasure to work with on all levels. She is smart, quick to respond, and very knowledgeable. I doubt she is equaled by many in her field of expertise. She was a big help on 2 transactions she did for us that were For Sale By Owner. As well as several that we had done the more conventional way with Agents. Five Stars in my book. Thank you Colleen! In this day and age of mediocrity, these people present a new low. They broke deadline after deadline, and dragged out what should have been at most a one week deal into two months. A tremendous lack of professionalism. I estimate the cost of the title search/insurance was probably doubled due to extra interest and fees because of the delays. The Closer went on vacation in the middle of the transaction and left us hanging; that alone was an extra $300. Run screaming from these people…. you've been warned.
