TLDR: Choose another office unless you enjoy long, frustrating phone calls and being given the run-around. I've been with State Farm for years, and never had any issues, but a whole slew of problems started when I switched to Malia Hayward after a move. I won't bore you with the details, but the short version is my rate went up significantly (with no changes to anything that would affect my insurance rates.) I have been trying to straighten it out for almost a year now. I have been given a dozen different conflicting reasons from the Malia Hayward staff. Rate increases happen sometimes, but it should be transparent. This office is incompetent and dishonest. Do yourself a favor and choose one of the other Juneau State Farm offices. I don't normally write reviews but I want to spare others the headache. A lot of the five star reviews on here sound like fake reviews. the receptionist & 1-800 customer service line were the only helpful people I spoke with. got charged for a insurance plan that I never signed for, and anytime I had to deal with the local office they were either rude, blew me off, or didn't return my phone call. I can see by other reviews that they COULD be a good company to work with, but with my experience they don't work very well on fixing their mistakes. I sign up to State Farm .. Give it 3because I just started,,,, will give it 5star to see how it go with State Farm. So far good people especially Alex. Who my.agent Malia has been wonderful to work with. We bought our home and as paperwork always goes we needed home owners insurance right away. We called State Farm based on a friend's recommendation and Malia answered the phone and stayed in the office late into the night to put a policy together for us. Today the friendly customer service continues, anytime we have a question her and her staff have the answer or documentation ready for our use on the spot. Their service is appreciated. Malia Hayward? In my opinion, for small business in Juneau there is no better customer service, peace of mind, or ease of use than State Farm with Malia Hayward in Juneau, AK. She and her staff have made our ability to do business a priority by letting us concentrate on what we do while they take care of our insurance needs.
