I hesitate to say anything nice because they will get so booked I won't be able to get a reservation. I stayed here Aug 2017. Cathie and John are incredible! My nickname is Bear. When I arrived after almost 8 hours of travel I was exhausted. Cathie helped me carry my bags up to my room - north queen. On the door she had a picture of a Bear saying Bear Stop. In the room she had stuffed bears in the chairs. I have never ever felt so welcomed! It was then I realized I had come to a very special place. The next morning I enjoyed coffee in bed no less. Out side my room is a sitting area with coffee maker, small refrigerator and snacks. I have found my spot. I will be back. A big plus - 15 easy minutes from the airport. Kathy and John are fabulous hosts. Breakfast was better than we had at a place twice as expensive. Great location too. Close to the airport and many great hikes and attractions. We would be delighted to stay again sometime and recommend it with no reservations!! Beautiful location, the room was very clean and comfortable and John and Kathy were fabulous hosts, they really made us feel at home! We had a relaxing two days staying in Cathie and John's B&B. Within walking distance of the Mendenhall Glacier via easy trails and walking distance to the bus stop for downtown. The glacier is a must do in Juneau with fantastic views. Cathie kindly picked us up from downtown after our adventure cruise. After dropping our bags off John gave us a quick preview of the glacier on the way to the bus stop to visit downtown. With exceptional hospitality,John asked if we would like to join them for dinner as a neighbour had offered them a freshly caught salmon. John and Cathie would not accept any payment for dinner. To cap it off another guest graciously offered us one of his beers each night of our stay. John and Cathie were friendly hosts. Our king room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast in the dining room was tasty and we enjoyed the chats. There also was a lounge in the common guest area with a fridge, coffee and tea and snacks. On the day we left Cathie kindly drove us to the airport. Great value, great hospitality and highly recommended. Thanks Cathie & John.
