This is a delightful 6-mile roundtrip hiking trail that takes you all the way to the John Muir Cabin. On clear days, it affords great views of the Gastineau Channel, Admiralty Island, the Chilkat Mountains, Mount McGuinnis, and Mount Stroller White. Enjoy a planked muskeg meadow trail (caution:slippery when wet), a variety of birds and mammals, and berry picking during summer months; skiing and snowshoeing in winter with access to Peterson Lake Cabin.
