  1 star: Edit: Neighbor has been quiet for two weeks now so maybe something was actually said (that's why I'm actually giving them a single star in this text.. before that it was 0).. this review still stands, however... Not once did I feel like we were being taken seriously and there are still cigarette butts all over the property. She did take the time to meet with my wife but ... it seemed very forced and the bias against us was extremely noticeable. Have a shared-wall neighbor that has/had been harassing my wife and I for over a full year. My wife is less than 4 weeks away from having a baby right now and we were (up until about two weeks ago) still having to deal with this company's tenant smashing on our wall Neanderthal style. I cant tell if he's using some sort of tool like a baseball bat it shakes the building so violently... My wife met with the person that runs this business and even after showing her multiple pages of documentation including hand written threats left on our front door and harassing texts and pictures sent to my wife from tenant's phone (we've documented EVERYTHING), to my knowledge didn't even come check on the guy/property. Taku Real Estate felt no need to even come check on the situation- Just assumed that their tenant was telling the truth and apparently we were overreacting... even after mentioning the neighbors that share the wall on the other side have been having some of the exact same issues with the man for longer than us (they are now in the process of moving out). If that's not a red flag I don't know what is (its a 3-plex and the troublesome tenant is in the middle unit). We've been working with the police for over a year and had really hoped that getting in touch with the property manager would help the issue. Nope.. The guy completely lied to her and she took him at his word, seemingly not even considering that we might actually be telling the truth. Cigarettes, mailbox trashed, duct taped shut at one point, never shovels driveway or maintains property at all in any way, refuses to speak to us (weird because we are very reasonable people that just want to resolve whatever issue he has with us, we think it's jealousy driven and started the day I moved in almost 2 years ago...very hard to deal with that sort of mentality.. someone already has a target on your back, so to speak, and you don't even realize it..he also used to talk to us so much that we would hesitate going out on the back porch due to not necesarilly wanting to have a conversation with him). etc. etc. This stuff can bring down the value of our property that we actually own so we have a vested interest in maintaining this building and the surrounding property.. We were/are literally on the verge of putting our house up for sale it had gotten so bad. It's still being discussed because we don't know what this man is going to do at 2:30 when our baby wakes up and makes some noise. It's actually very scary for us because we just don't know what going on.. pounding on the wall when drunk is what it seems like and has gone straight recluse since the police were first called over a year ago.. We actually carry a knife for self defense purposes to take our dog outside to the bathroom because we have no idea what this guy's problem is at this point or what he's capable of (we've reported this all to the police and to Taku Real Estate). I would absolutely not recommend doing business with this company. Completely incompetent on every level. Deplorable conditions in both the houses they rent and the actual office they work out of. They don't return phone calls, they lose checks, they do not fix health and safety issues that are in their properties; ie: black mold, windows that do not function and are fire hazards, moisture and air quality issues, just to name a few. This business should be shut down permanently. The photos show the state of the business office of Taku Real Estate - I wonder why they are called slum-lords around Juneau?!?!?! DO NOT ENTER A RENTAL OR LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THESE PEOPLE!
