Every time I go to Douglas Cafe, they have friendly service and consistently good food. The menu has a great variety, something for everybody! Dine in or take out, you can't go wrong with Douglas Cafe. One of my favorite burgers in town.. awesome little secret right before Sandy Beach on Douglas. Will be eating there more often due to the friendly service and good food. It was exactly what we were looking for. Good food. Good staff. Right price. Probably one of the better burgers and fries in Juneau. Don't be shy, it's just casual dining hon! Their beer is cold also. One of Juneau's hidden food gems. I save 3 stars for average, 4 for above average and 5 for holy cow--I can't believe it's not butter! Douglas Cafe (Doug Cafe) is one of my favorite local haunts for its casual atmosphere and quality food. Honestly, for eating out in Juneau, between the regular menu and specials, this is one of my favorite places. They're not going to make a major magazine anytime soon but the food is quality American fare. Downsides: The casual atmosphere won't impress your prom date, and I've had better items here and there; but, I've never been disappointed at Doug Cafe.
