Very nice place, when our tour bus pulled up the host got on and told us what to expect. We got a up close look at the wild life, a bear came though. He smelled the salmon cooking and got hungry. They ran him off and we had a good meal and nice music. This is a tourist attraction with buffet style service and a large outdoor seating area. The food is good. It caters to the cruise boat population visiting the port. Our first port of call in Alaska, Juneau in August - and rain pouring down. The Salmon Bake area was a little sheltered oasis, and the food was great. Beautiful waterfall, and very friendly staff. Thank you I was raised in Juneau and was around for the humble beginnings of this place. They have since changed locations and I am pleased to say that they have not lost any of the quality that they started with even though they have quadrupled in size. The salmon is still done the same way and is still not to be missed. Plus!! It's "all you can eat"! This was fun and very tasty food. The salmon was excellent. There is also a short trail along the river ending at a beautiful waterfall
