Really disappointed in the service that was given today, July 5, 2017. My friend and I ordered at around 7 o clock. We were sitting at the front, right close to the front desk, where the waitresses had to walk right by us to serve other people. We waited for over an hour, then we finally asked them what was going on with our food. They looked at us with blank faces to then reply, "oh we put in the computer, but it didn't get on the line." Which honestly meant nothing to me at first. They then proceeded to explain a little further and apologize very nonchalant, like this occurred regularly. Anyway, we waited another 15 minutes to get our food, a total of 1hour 20 minutes to receive a pizza and a turkey sandwich. This slow service maybe should have been compensated with a discount or something free of charge, because typically that's what restaurants should do. When I asked the lady to give us some sort of a discount she laughed and took off a total of $7. Definitely don't waste all of your time here. There are much better places to eat in downtown Juneau! Pizzeria Roma is simply the best pizza in town, and, lately, one of the better lunch deals, as well. The calzones are excellent ($9.99 for a calzone and a real, green salad). And the spaghetti is amazing. All around good Italian food. Great thin crust pizzas. You can carry out, if you'd like. The 15" probably feeds 4 adults. The sausage on the three-meat is spicier than most, but really good. On 5/28/17, I ordered the Roma Garden pizza to go. According to the menu, the Roma Garden pizza is "pesto sauce with spinach, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, and onions." Got home and opened a pizza with feta cheese, tons and tons of olives and no spinach. Rather than drive back, picked off the olives and most of the feta cheese. Would have been nicer to have had the pizza that I ordered especially considering it cost $23. Will not be returning. 3 stars is average, 4 stars is above average, 5 stars is they also change the oil in my car while I wait. Pizzeria Roma has been the family pizza place for years now, and we've never been disappointed in the food or service. The highlight of the place is the salads. A half sized salad is more than enough for one person and a full sized can be shared. We went out to Pizzeria Roma for our tenth wedding anniversary, which is the photo I'm attaching. Our youngest loves a selfie.
