Attended for three years. Great and affordable for GERs but didn't have the degree program that I wanted. Realized this too late. Wonderful disability services and some really great faculty mixed in with some rather confused folks. It's a good university if you're just trying to get from point A to point B. I'm an alumni and staff member at UAS. I appreciate the opportunities afforded at our campus to faculty, staff, and students- leadership and professional development through community engagement and collaboration, the outcome is access to annual culturally relevant events. UAS is great to attend in person. I did so for about 3 years. As soon as I moved to only online classes my advisor was less than helpful. After calling him and sending him soooo many emails I never heard a response. Because of him I was unable to start my fall classes this year and my scholarships were taken away. All because my advisor wouldn't take the time to reply to me. I had a hold on my account because I had switched to all online classes and needed my advisor to approve it. Because I had moved out of Juneau I couldn't just go in and find my advisor. None of the student resource centers were helpful either. UAS is a GREAT school..if you attend in person Beautiful campus. My graduate experience there was... Well, it happened. All about me, i'm a person who likes to be out side I like to be in school but I love Alaska it is the most beautiful state I have ever seen and tats why I'm going to put every penny I get is going into my bank account, but in tell then ill be dreaming about living in a small house thinking about hunting/fishing most in portent collage.
