We visited here on a Disney port adventure. The salmon was by far the best we have ever had or probably ever will have. Make sure you eat 2 pieces of it or you will be sorry like we were. Went whale watching and stopped here for lunch........fabulous We booked a whale watching excursion and had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful Orca Point Lodge for lunch. It was a slightly gloomy day, more sun than clouds, and the lodge itself was poised alone in a picturesque piece of land where everyone nearby was living off the grid. We had no more than an hour and a half at the lodge, but I could have spent the entire day (or longer), enjoying the amazing views and property. The lodge itself is beautifully done. All very new build and in very good condition. I'd love to see them add more character to this already great foundation, because there's not much decoration aside from some photography for sale posted on the walls. There are ample restrooms, an adorable little gift shop, catering facilities, a BEAUTIFUL deck, and a cool little tide pool area if you traverse across the deck and just beyond the dock. Make time for the tide pool area! Otherwise, like us, it will be an afterthought as you head back to the boat. I'm unsure if all the food excursions to Orca Point are the same, however ours included a salmon feed. It was pretty darn good, and aside from the salmon, the cole slaw was my favorite! VERY unique! Make sure to take a photo of the recipe as seen on the window near the entrance. The dessert was OK, and mac and cheese for the kids looked great, although it was pretty mediocre. They also offered a shrimp cocktail for an extra charge. We did not try it, although we would have liked to. My favorite part about this gorgeous lodge was really the setting. Wow is it beautiful there! While we didn't see any orcas, we were only there for less than an hour and a half. I honestly would love to go back, and spend far more time at this beautiful lodge and property. It would be a great spot for a family reunion or a wedding. With windows across one full side of the lodge, it was beautiful both indoors and out. It really is... heaven on earth. worth it for the salmon alone. Schöner Bootsausflug zur Orca Point Lodge.
