This hotel was recently renovated and we appreciated that it was clean and well-furnished. It is a budget hotel so some of the amenities are very basic, but you get what you need. Staff was friendly, and we had nothing to complain about during our two night stay. The location is close to Glacier Highway in the Valley. From the time we arrived until the time we left we had an amazing experience. The bed was wonderful I had the best night sleep. The staff was very nice courteous and I would recommend Super 8 to everyone. Thank you Super 8 !! They just opened the place up after being shut down for three months. The owners remodeled the entire place. The lobby is at least twice as big now with a tiled in fireplace and plenty of lounge chairs. It looked to be fresh paint throughout, new carpet, new furniture, and new beds. Last time I stayed here the elevator was broken and had been for a bout a year. The new owners installed a new one that works great. Its right next to the airport and a convenience store across the street with a great Thai and Chinese place called Canton as well. I will definitely return and stay here again. This hotel is mediocre at best. The facility is just ok. The continental Breakfast offers fewer choices than I am used to even for a Super 8. There is no air conditioning and only great. The day was warmer than normal, and so the room was hot when we checked in. After we opened the window to cool off we were subjected to the sounds off the neighborhood. I won't be staying at this hotel again. First time in Juneau. Booked thru Expedia. Great hotel with super nice and friendly staff. They tell me they are almost done with a complete remodel. Looks great! Don't forget to go ACROSS the street to the bakery. Some of the best baked goods we have ever had! If you are fishing, make sure you get the room with the frig/freezer. Freezer will hold enough to fill an 80 QUART ICE CHEST! LOVED IT! WE WILL BE BACK!
