Very well marked trail with nice checkpoints to take pictures. You can go hiking the trail to the Mount Roberts Tram, and then take the tram down to city. If you spend 10 dollars on souvenirs in shop and you get the ride down for free This is also the trailhead for the "Flume Trail". This trail is level and follows the route of an old water flume. Most of the trail is a boardwalk with handrails. The trail follows the mountainside and affords nice views into the surrounding forest. About 2.5 miles up to the tram, which is a very healthy climb. Can be a little muddy, but it's a dense moss-covered rainforest. You then have the option to keep going another 2 miles to the peak, which is steeper, but dryer. Consider walking the flat Flume trail down and back as a warmdown to stretch sore muscles.
