  Rented a car here for several days, and it was definitely the best deal around. The name rental places were so expensive, I thought I might have to forego renting a car. Cars are old and not all the 'features' work, for instance cruise control didn't work on our car. However, our car was reliable and functional. Biggest need for improvement is their pick-up of customers -- we were getting picked up at the airport and I was instructed to call when I was at baggage claim, so that is what I did. I called and they said it would be 15 minutes or so. I waited 15 minutes and didn't see anyone, so I called again and the person I spoke with didn't seem aware that I was waiting, and said that someone would be there in a white vehicle in 10 minutes or so. About 10 minutes later they called again as said that actually someone would be there in a tan car. When they showed up, the driver remained in the car, chatting on a cell phone. I saw this was the described car, but unsure what to do -- the driver popped the trunk but didn't get out to help load luggage or say hello. However, at the end of our stay, the guy bringing us back to the airport was more friendly and did help us with our luggage. All in all, it was a decent experience, and still is the best cost place to rent a car in Juneau. We rented a car ahead of time when we were coming into port from Carnival cruise. We wanted to see the Shrine of St Therese (which was awesome). Wanted to give everyone a good heads up and an "attaboy" for Juneau Car Rental. When we found out the timing of the glacier hike tour, we had to call Juneau Car Rental to say we were coming to pickup the vehicle later. They said no problem. They did not want to charge fees or be irritated. They were first rate with me. We got there, and they left a message on the windshield for me with my car... that was just great customer service, and while I know you cannot simply do this type of thing everywhere, it was tremendously refreshing. Thank you! When I rented the car over the phone they said I could pick the car up off airport property. We get to Juneau, I go to the place they said the car would be, it wasn't there. I call them and they said, do to some cars being stolen the car was in the airport long term parking and I would have to pay parking fees to get it. That was not part of the deal when I rented the car. I asked them to refund the $15.00 dollars it cost me to get the car from the airport. They argued with me and said it was my responsibility to pay the parking fee, but that wasn't part of the deal we made to begin with. After some more arguing they said they would take that amount off my bill before they processed it, well they went back on there word and didn't refund the $15.00 dollars like they said they would. Also the the tires on the car where so bald you could bareley see any tread on them. I would have checked the tires BUT, I took it for granted that they, like all the other car companies I have rented from, would put the customers saftey before the cost of replacing the tires. Guess I was wrong, they didn't care. I sent them an e-mail telling them about the tires but got no response, not an apology nothing, not even sorry we overlook it, or it won't happen again nothing. The tires had been that way for a long time, so that means everyone else thought the same way I did, that they would care about customers safety, evidently not. Would not rent from them again. BAD WAY TO DO BUSINESS JUNEAU CAR RENTAL!!!!!!!!!!! Great experience we rented a 11 passenger van for one day for under $150. Make sure you go to the office, don't get a quote online because our online quote from them was $350. Very friendly staff, Marrisa was very helpful, drove to our hotel and took us back to the rental office sorted the rental out, gave us a list of attractions to see, then drove us to the airport when we left, Car was clean and reliable, best way to see Juneau, would highly recommend
