Use these guys all the time for oil changes. Good price, can get you in without an appointment a majority of the time too, so long as you don't mind waiting a little longer. I learned they do other vehicle work too, so I brought my car in for a brake inspection. They gave me a decently detailed report of their findings, reported on some other problems that needed immediate attention, and quoted me a fair price for the labor. The quote on the parts was a little high - but they specifically mentioned that they don't care if I bring my own parts in or not, so I bought elsewhere to save a few hundred bucks, and made an appointment for a full brake job (calipers, rotors, pads all needed changing) They got me in on short notice and even though the job took longer than I expected, they still billed me the labor amount from the initial quote, which was a plus. Upon driving out of their lot, noise coming from the rear of the car was immediately evident. This is the first vehicle I owned that had rotors in the back instead of a drum brake system, so I turned to google, read that noise from the rear immediately following a pad change is normal, and thought nothing of it. I brought my car in to Costco for a tire change the following day. Immediately after they got it on the lift to remove the tires, they found that the lugnuts were very loose - 8 of 10 in the rear were described as hand tight, and 1 post in the front had been completely stripped due to being cross-threaded. They'd said that both rear tires were at risk of falling off, and that it easily could've happened if I'd driven just a few more miles on them. I called Southeast mining supply to report their findings, and they took no responsibility - I spoke with the guy who 'specifically recalls' putting the tires back on himself, and he claims he recalled having no issues, but he'd "take a look at his torque gun" and thanked me for taking the time to report that one of their tools may have been faulty. Turns out the tires being loose and nearly falling off was the source of the rubbing noise I was hearing from the back. I find the cross-threading to be most annoying - the posts can easily be replaced if you have the tires and calipers removed, and the only reasonable explanation I can come up with for them not replacing the cross-threaded post themselves after taking the tires off is that they're the ones that stripped it, and they either didn't realize they stripped it, or didn't want to take the time to fix their mistake. I'm not sure which is worse. I'm reasonably confident that if I brought the car back to them myself they would've fixed the problems. But if Costco hadn't alerted me to the loose lugnuts and crossthreaded post, I sincerely doubt I would've noticed there was anything wrong until the rear tires fell off. This review pains me to write because I thought I'd found a shop I could trust - but the mistakes they made and the safety risk they caused can't be ignored. Fast, affordable, and no-frills express oil change. Solid prices, quick service, friendly staff. Nothing on here about the mining supplies? Got a great gold panning kit for half the price of Sportsman's Warehouse. Better quality too. Great service, very fast. Was able to get oil changed and still have time left over for my lunch break!
